Ever since I was a little girl, my dream has been to help people. To help them feel better, think better, and live better. I experienced a great deal of adversity growing up that often made me wonder if realizing that dream would ever come to pass. But, a little voice in the back of my mind kept telling me, “there’s more to life than this…keep going.” So I did. I kept going, and living and breathing, even when everything inside me wanted to give up. I understand what it’s like to reach a place of total surrender, and I know what it’s like to walk the path of healing. If you believe deep down there’s more to your life as well, I can help you do the same.
My approach is holistic and humanistic, and I practice primarily from a Cognitive Behavioral framework. That basically means that I look at you as a whole person, not just a diagnosis or symptom. We explore patterns of thinking and feeling, which lead to unhealthy behaviors, and work together to change those patterns. I also understand the importance of addressing trauma and physical illness/issues as they relate to mental health, and seek to understand the whole picture. I believe that you have the power within you to change, and my passion is helping you discover that power. With more than 20 years’ experience in a variety of settings, my very best and most rewarding work has been with women who are at the ends of their ropes and aren’t sure how to move forward. During our work together, you will come to find that you, too, are Made for More.
